MIDDLE BEACH LODGE, Tofino

Middle Beach Lodge offers 20 self-contained cabins and two lodges with West Coast architecture. The Lodge at the Beach features heavy timber construction and board-and-batten cedar siding, with antiques sourced from across Canada. Rooms include oceanfront lounges, queen or king beds, and some have lofts accessible by ladder. Select cabins have kitchenettes, Jacuzzi tubs, or gas fireplaces. The Lodge at the Headlands includes forest-facing balconies and electric fireplaces.

A complimentary deluxe continental breakfast includes in-house baked croissants, muffins, and brioche cinnamon buns, with jams from Mrs Jones James in Cowichan Valley. The lodge arranges whale watching tours on 30 ft aluminum vessels in Clayoquot Sound. Bear watching trips run at low tide, and sea kayaking explores tide pools with Tofino Sea Kayaking guides. Stand-up paddleboarding lessons and rentals are available at Tofino Paddle Surf, a short walk from the lodge. Hot Springs Cove trips include geothermal pools and a 6-hour boat ride.
